1. Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to establish consistent standards of safety, professionalism, and performance for all tradesmen working under or contracted by [Company Name]. This policy ensures that all construction activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and company values.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all tradesmen, subcontractors, temporary laborers, and any personnel performing construction work on behalf of [Company Name], across all job sites.
3. Code of Conduct
All tradesmen are expected to:
Maintain professional behavior on all job sites.
Treat clients, co-workers, supervisors, and the public with respect.
Refrain from the use of drugs or alcohol while on duty.
Adhere to job site start and finish times as scheduled.
Report incidents, hazards, or unsafe conditions immediately.
4. Safety Requirements
[Company Name] is committed to a safe working environment. All tradesmen must:
Follow Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times (e.g., hard hats, safety boots, eye protection).
Participate in mandatory safety briefings and toolbox talks.
Use ladders, scaffolds, power tools, and other equipment safely and correctly.
Report all injuries, no matter how minor, to the site supervisor immediately.
Failure to comply with safety protocols may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
5. Tools and Equipment
Tradesmen are responsible for the care and proper use of company-issued tools and equipment.
Any damage or malfunction must be reported immediately.
Personal tools may be used only if approved by the supervisor and are in good working condition.
6. Attendance and Punctuality
Tradesmen are expected to arrive at the job site on time and ready to work.
Absences must be reported to the supervisor at least 24 hours in advance where possible.
Excessive lateness or unexcused absences may result in disciplinary action.
7. Substance Abuse Policy
The use, possession, or distribution of illegal drugs or alcohol on company property or job sites is strictly prohibited.
Drug or alcohol use while on duty is grounds for immediate dismissal.
Random drug testing may be conducted in accordance with company policy and local law.
8. Training and Certification
Tradesmen must:
Hold current licenses and certifications as required for their trade (e.g., electrical, plumbing, welding).
Attend all required company-provided safety or skill training sessions.
Notify the company immediately of any expired or revoked certifications.
9. Dress Code and Identification
All tradesmen must wear appropriate work attire and safety gear.
Company-issued identification must be worn or displayed if required on specific job sites.
10. Harassment and Discrimination
[Company Name] has zero tolerance for harassment, bullying, or discrimination of any kind. All tradesmen have the right to work in an environment free from hostility or abuse. Any violations should be reported immediately and will be investigated in accordance with company policy.
11. Disciplinary Action
Violations of this policy may result in:

Suspension from job site
Termination of employment or contract
Legal action, if warranted
Each case will be reviewed on an individual basis, and actions will be taken proportionate to the nature and severity of the violation.
12. Acknowledgment
All tradesmen must sign an acknowledgment form indicating they have read, understood, and agree to abide by this policy.
